This community projects is designed to provide financial literacy for tomorrow's community leaders.
Provide underprivileged youth in various high schools throughout the tri-state area access to cutting-edge financial education and tools to both improve their readiness for a professional career and establish a basis of financial literacy for their success in adulthood.
Across the board, Americans have a glaring lack of financial literacy, skills, and resources to financially life plan. In fact, of the over 250 Million American adults aged 18 years or older:
60% do not have enough savings to pay for a $1,000 emergency
75% manage their own finances with no assistance from a financial advisor or online serve
78% live paycheck-to-paycheck
87% agree that nothing makes them happier or more confident than feeling like their finances are in order
In short, there is an untapped market of Americans who need financial education combined with easy-to-use decision-making tools that will enable them to improve their financial well-being in addition to their overall happiness. This financial education is most successful when delivered as early as possible in adulthood.
Inkwiry is a tool that can change lives by helping students, parents, and young professionals understand how education, career, and investment decisions will establish financial well-being while shaping their overall self-worth and happiness.
Many of the decisions we make today have predictable outcomes. Inkwiry takes users on a virtual journey to their future so they can map their best path today.
In order to accomplish our goals in this initiative, we aim to achieve the following:
Fund Raise Target: $15,000
